Luke Bryan Was Once Injured by a Pair of Overalls

Luke Bryan says one of his most embarrassing and painful injuries was caused by a pair of overalls and a hay bail. The incident happened at Georgia Southern University, where the ‘Country Girl (Shake It for Me)’ singer went to college.

During an interview with Monty and Zeke on Pittsburgh’sY108, Bryan says one incident he regrets is jumping “on a hay bail, in overalls, in college, and miss[ing] and land on the tile floor.”

“We were having a farm social,” the singer continues, “and Liberty overalls, they have those buttons right there on your hip … when I went to hit the hay bail, like I said, I missed it … and I landed on those buttons.”

Of course he laughs about it now, but the fall gave him a hip bruise that lasted for three months. “This would have been awesome on YouTube,” Bryan adds. He doesn’t fully explain how he missed a hay bail, but given that it was college and the singer is known for having a good time … you can probably figure it out, if not relate.

Bryan is set to headline ‘CMT on Tour‘ with Josh Thompson, Lee Brice and Matt Mason. The 22 city tour begins on September 15 in Huntington, W.V. Bryan’s new album, ‘Tailgates and Tanlines,’ was released to stores and digital retailers last week.
